Quarkworks

Alex began working with Quarkworks Inc. in January 2020. While at Quarkworks Alex has served as a Software and DevOps Engineer and accomplished the following: Migrated a monolithic application to AWS Fargate microservices with zero downtime deployments Created scalable Python and Django services for variable e-commerce workloads Developed CI/CD pipelines for production Android, iOS, backend, and frontend stacks Improved the video and chat messaging experience for a career search Android application

Fulbright & LUT

Alex is completing a master’s degree in Mechatronic System Design at LUT University, Lappeenranta. Mechatronics is a multidisciplinary engineering field focusing on both mechanical and electrical systems. It combines modern innovations in robotics, electronics, computers, telecommunications, and manufacturing. His undergraduate degree and experience have introduced him to the field of mechatronics. A master’s degree from LUT will give him the education and experience necessary to become a leader in the field and create the next generation of mechatronics innovations....

Netsmart

Alex served as a Software Engineering Intern with Netsmart during the Summers of 2017, 2018 & 2019. While at Netsmart he accomplished the following: Created Java microservices and REST APIs for critical backend services and communication layers Ported an internal analytics SDK used widely in the company from .NET to Java. Developed Angular web dashboards for efficient internal administration and metrics analysis.
